What are you? I'm a sock.

You are a cozy, fuzzy, warm-hearted person. A lot of your friends describe you as a hopeless romantic. You fall for the opposite sex very easily. But be careful, because usually you don't know what you are getting into, and because you are very sensitive, you can get hurt... especially in early relationships. Also, don't exclude the cold-hearted from your "want-list", because they just might be looking for a kind person to warm up their heart.... or a sock to warm up their feet.

Most compatible with: Toilet Paper.

It's nice to do nothing

Tonight for the first time in a long time, I just sat around and played Final Fantasy X. I didn't do any homework whatsoever. It was really nice. I get so stressed out sometimes with work and/or school and so I felt that I deserved a break. I'm glad tomorrow is Friday, the weekend is almost here. I wish I could think of something really fun to do. Does anyone have any ideas? I guess that means David and Troy, since they're the only ones that know about my journal.

Final Fantasy X is the best game I've ever played, but I guess that's another subject for another post another time.

Tax class

This semester I'm taking a tax class and so far it's actually kind of interesting. Right now we're talking about personal tax returns and stuff, so this information will actually be useful in my life. Sure you can use Turbotax or whatever to do it for you, but for the more complicated issues, it's nice to actually know what's going on. I'm looking forward to the personal compensation and retirement section of the class. I think that starts after spring break. We'll probably talk about IRAs and Roth IRAs and 401ks and stuff, so that sounds interesting to me since I'm a financial planning intern (since I'm a finance geek).

Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith

I'm looking forward to the new Star Wars movie. It probably won't be the best movie ever, but it will probably be better than Episode I and II combined. Of course, I don't think anything can top the original trilogy, but I think Episode III deserves a chance. It will be darker than the others and so hopefully it won't be as corny and cheesy. It comes out like the week after graduation; I'm looking forward to it. I'm probably going to see it in the theater. I want my boyfriend to take me to see it, but he's being stubborn and doesn't really want to see it. We'll see about that. ;-)

ready to move out

I've been thinking lately about how I want to move out pretty soon after graduation. My parents are just irritating and they complain about having to pay for my toothpaste. I hate having to come home to a house that isn't very clean, has cat hair everywhere, and stinks half the time. All my parents do is bitch about not having time to clean and how they want me to clean and crap. It's like, I don't have time for that. I go to school and I'm working a lot of hours and I have homework and I have a personal life. It's just so annoying. I'm ready to move out. Money is kind of a problem though because I still have a car payment and after I graduate I'll have stupid college loans to pay off. Also, if I move out, I'll probably have to get health and car insurance on my own and that isn't cheap. Sigh... this is the reason I want to get out of college and out on my own so I can make money and move out.

TCU graduation

I can't wait until I graduate from TCU this May. The ceremony is on Saturday, May 14, 2005 at like 2pm. I'm graduating with a double major in finance and accounting. I'm really looking forward to not having homework, tests, papers, and especially group projects. This semester especially has been kinda hectic. I am taking 16 hours of classes and work part time 22 hours a week at Woodard Insurance. It sucks because I go to school, then I work until 5:30 almost every day and then I have to come home and do homework.

This summer I have to study to pass the Series 7 and Series 63 tests to become a registered investment representative or something like that. My boss seems to think it will take me 150 hours of studying to pass these tests. I highly doubt it will take me that long because generally I don't have to study that much and I usually make As in all my classes. I've just never had to study near as much as other people. It's sort of annoying because my boss is so adamant about studying 150 hours for these tests and I just don't see how that would be necessary. Oh well. Also, I asked my previous boss who also took those tests and he said he just crammed like two weekends in a row right before the test and passed, so I don't know what my boss is talking about. That won't be that fun over the summer... what a way to ruin the summer after college graduation - more studying! :-\

First post

Hm, so this is my first post on a blog. Interesting... I don't know exactly why I decided to get a blog. Perhaps it appealed to me to have a record of what I used to do with all my time. I used to keep a diary, but I stopped doing that a couple of years ago. It is probably easier to type online than to hand write in a diary.

Anyway, I doubt I'll post that often. I don't think I'll make much time to update it a lot. Oh well, the only people that will probably care are Troy and... um... well, probably only Troy will care. I'm sure he'll be ecstatic that I got a blog. I can hear him now... "you got a blog? wow!!! I told you blogging is the best thing ever! Awesome! Now we can post on our respective blogs together! I'm such a nerd!"

LOL

So, it's 10:30 and I'm freaking tired. I should go to bed soon. I might post again later.
